This hand-coloured linocut print was done as a gift for my son and was inspired by the lovely lyrics of the Tom Waits song.

I was introduced to the tune by Seth Avett’s excellent cover. I have watched this video dozens of times (and this one too) and Tara and I love to sing the song to Jonas before bed. I’ve listened to Tom Waits’ original and, at the risk of uttering blasphemy, I much prefer the covers.
