Floodstock 17

I was excited to get back to working on the poster for the 17th (!) Floodstock music festival. Erin Flood had taken over the reigns this year and we chatted about including a bit of the history of the Saint John River into the poster. A winding river full of lumber came to mind and I started sketching out ideas.

We also wanted to incorporate a nod to the Canada 150 celebrations. I played around with the idea of printing the posters on red paper but when I mocked it up it wasn’t working. I decided on a natural coloured stock and once again thought a metallic ink would give the poster a nice pop. The bees were a last-minute addition as a way to incorporate more of the Flood Farm into the design.
